Day Eleven

“And having chosen them, he called them to come to him. And he gave them right standing with himself, and he promised them his glory.” Romans 8:30

We all like to be chosen. Remember when we picked teams for kickball and you fearfully waited to hear your name called out? We all probably know what it feels like to be chosen and what it feels like to be looked over. Being chosen means we have value. It means we are wanted. The Lord of all creation chooses you and calls you to do what?…according to Romans 8, He chose you and calls you, To Come to him. Moses when he was a forgotten shepherd, in a forgotten tribe, in a forgotten desert; was chosen. Gideon when he was the least boy, in the least family, in the least tribe, in the least nation; was chosen. When David was the smallest boy in a big family he was chosen to use small stones to overtake a big giant.

So today…..just answer His call to come to him. Prayers is uttering words but sometimes it’s just sitting…in his presence…Come to him…..he will give you….grace….mercy….forgiveness….fellowship….right standing with him….and the promise of His glory!
