Day Thirteen

Be on guard for yourselves and for all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood. Acts 20:28

Our example can be our most persuasive influence for Christ. Do others imitate us because we model Him? Ken Blanchard, writes, “Leadership is a process of influence. Anytime you seek to influence the thinking, behavior, or development of people in their personal or professional lives, you are taking on the role of a leader.” The uniqueness of Christian leadership is that the entire process happens within the will, plan, priorities and purpose of Almighty God as revealed in the Bible, and is grounded and operates under the lordship of Jesus Christ. Remember that leadership is all about serving. Jesus said, “For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many” (Mark 10:45). Our example can be our most persuasive influence for Christ. Do others imitate us because we model Him? Pray for others to see Jesus in you today. Pray for opportunities to lead as a servant. The more you serve, the greater the opportunities to lead. Pray for more servant leaders.
