“If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal.” 1 Corinthians 13:1Someone has said, “Impressions don’t impress me.” In other words, we shouldn’t be impressed by mere words, there needs to be action to back up the words. Words are empty without action. In fact, Paul challenges the Corinthian believers of practicing their faith with words without love is a disturbing sound. It’s like hearing your alarm on your car, your house or your Fitbit go on and on and on. I’m still trying to find my alarm on my Fitbit that goes off at 3 am. It’s disturbing because words without love are incomplete. Dieter F. Uchtdorf writes, “Though we are incomplete, God loves us completely. Though we are imperfect, He loves us perfectly. Though we may feel lost and without a compass, God’s love encompasses us completely. … He loves every one of us, even those who are
flawed, rejected, awkward, sorrowful, or broken.” It’s amazing that God loves us when we were unlovable. God’s love is never incomplete. God’s love is never empty. God loves you in spite of the resounding gong or the clanging cymbal. God loves you perfectly. Praise God this morning for His perfect love. Praise God this morning for loving you
completely. Pray for God to use you this morning for His glory.
