21 Days of Prayer and Fasting: January 28

Day Twenty-One

“But Joseph said to them, “Don’t be afraid. Am I in the place of God? You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives. So then, don’t be afraid. I will provide for you and your children.” And he reassured them and spoke kindly to them.” Genesis 50:19-21

Joseph grew up in a dysfunctional family with dysfunctional brothers who sold him into slavery and told their father, Jacob, that he had died. The Bible says, “God was with Joseph.” Joseph needed a comeback. God gave Joseph the highest ranking position in Pharoah’s court. God gave Joseph a comeback. Now, after Jacob’s death, Joseph’s brothers needed a comeback. Joseph puts their fears to rest and assures them that God intended it for good to accomplish the saving of many lives. Louie Giglio writes, “It doesn’t matter how messy life has become; it’s never too late for God to do a miracle. It’s never too late for God to restore your family, your health, your mind. It’s never too late for him to put your life back together. No matter what we might be walking through, we can still have confidence that Jesus is the God of the comeback and that our story is not over as long as Jesus is in it.”

God is the God of the comeback!! Take your burdens to Jesus this morning!! Take your troubles to Jesus this morning!!! Take your pain to Jesus this morning!!
