21 Days of Prayer January 7th, 2019

“Yes, Lord, walking in the way of your laws, we wait for you;
your name and renown are the desire of our hearts.” Isaiah 26:8

As we begin the New Year, it’s good to ask the question, “What is my purpose in life?” We all
have goals for the market place in which we work, but what are some of your personal goals?
I have plenty of personal goals, but one of my spiritual goals in the New Year is simply to say,
“Yes, Lord, walking in the way of your laws, we wait for you; your name and renown are the
desire of our hearts.” I want to make Jesus great in the desires of my heart. I want to make
Jesus great in my marriage and family. I want to make Jesus great in our city. I want to make
Jesus great in our state and nation. I want to make Jesus great in our world. It all starts by
walking in the way of God’s precepts and waiting on Him in prayer and simply saying, “Yes to
Jesus.” Someone has said, “Purpose is the reason for the journey, but passion is the fire that
lights the way. The purpose of life is a life of passion.” My purpose in life is make to the name
of Jesus great by walking and waiting on Him……to live in such a way that my journey on earth
counts for what is most important in the end, that’s the fame of the One who rescues, restores,
and redeems.
Pray for God to be your New Year’s resolution, as you say, “Yes to Jesus.” Pray for God to
create opportunities for you to make the name of Jesus great in your sphere of influence. Pray
for God to give you a spiritual purpose for your life. Pray for revival at NewLIfe. Pray for renewal
in our city.
